Monday morning meeting with an Icon. Or two.

Magic Monday morning! I just had a long meeting with Lady Marianna V Vardinoyannis– a Greek Icon and hardworking philanthropist that has dedicated her life to support people in need, to fight poverty, to rebuild burned down villages, to offer vaccinations to refugee children, to found a hospital for kids with cancer and save lives. The list is much longer than I have time to write right now. I feel so inspired by her humble approach and lifelong engagement to people without her privileges. I’m not easy to impress. In fact I’m quite cynical about vertical charity work but this authentic, loving light worker gave me hope for the future. If more rich people would follow her example the world would be a much better place for all of us. I hope this amazing woman will become the President of Greece one day. You will soon be able to read about her impressive work worldwide.

Here with the greek superstar Sakis Rouvas that is deeply involved in Elpida– the clinic for kids with cancer. They both inspired me so much I decided to become a bone marrow donor. You can do the same. An easy way to save lives. Wherever you live.

  1. Thank you Alexandra for you inspiring blog :).
I am also a bone marrow donnor since many years back but……no one ever needed my bone marrow so far. I have also been a blood donnor since I was 18. I find it very meditative and it makes you feel a bit ”magic” and connected. I also know of friends that get jealous since not all are alowed to give. It certainly is a privilege to be allowed to give. Thank you again 🙂
