Pascalidous Greek Powerweek part 2

I’m living my dream. Early mornings, Ashtanga Yoga class led by amazing teacher Karin Björkegren Jones and then a breakfast with fresh fruits, nuts, omelettes with avocado, green smoothies, greek pastry and freddo capuccino at one of the best hotels in Greece- Porto Elounda and Elounda Peninsula.

I have a great group from Sweden enjoying powerwalks- and talks, dancing, yoga, swimming, spa:ing and chilling in the sun. Today we spent the day on the sea. We dived into the deep blue waters, we laughed and shared secrets. Meeting all these people that so generously share their experiences widens your world and makes you humble about life. Bella, the Swedish-finnish lady that has worked as a nurse in countries like Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Nigeria and also for ”Doctors without boarders” is one of them. Sofia, my roomie, is another. She’s a smart and stylish journalist so full of life and curiosity. The other day she told me she always preferred her middle name so we just decided to change her name to Lily and we baptised her in the sea. It’s never too late to change your name, your lifestyle, your attitude, your habits.

There is so much strength and struggle in every person you meet even if you can’t see it at first glimpse. That’s why we can’t judge people. A woman in the group lifted her eyebrows every time I spoke. I got the impression she was arrogant or bored until I asked her about it. She told me I was wrong. It’s her way and people tend to misinterpret her. It was probably my own insecurity that made me draw wrong conclusions. So before we judge we should give people a chance to explain.

I’m filled with gratitude for these interesting and empowering days in the sun. This is my sixth Greek Powerweek and it’s now becoming an annual tradition. So if you missed the chance this time you can join us next year, last week of May somewhere in the land of Gods. Tomorrow is our last day and I will put an effort to read and relax. And prepare for a demanding week at home in Stockholm with meetings and deadlines for articles and projects. But first and foremost I look forward to spend time with my daughter that I’ve missed so much.

Lots of love to you all.
